Hey so I saw this new snow cone stand called Frozy's. It sounds sweet, right? So my dad and I drove up and saw that it's coming soon. Disappointment! Anyway, then we went to Bahama Freeze again because that was the only place we could get to quickly*. We had a deadline, but I forgot why. I just have some flavor suggestions! Since I am in love with melonberry, but wanted something else (I am a 2-flavor snow cone type of girl!). I had tried it with cherry and loved it, but I wanted something different (I am also a never-have-the-same-snow-cone-twice type of girl.). So I decided on wedding cake with cream only on the side with wedding cake on it and melonberry. Probably the most delicious flavor combo ever!
*I tried to convince him to take me to some other un-reviewed snow cone stand, but he refused. Mainly because they were kind of far-ish and we didn't know how to get there. Well, we have an entire summer, so expect a snow cone post by Wednesday!
On a random note: I ate at Hopdoddy's tonight, and loved it! But I'm not gonna blog about the burgers or fries. I'm bloggin' 'bout the float! It was a root beer float with this special cinnamon custard-y ice cream. Just so we're clear, I hate cinnamon. But this float was delectable! I recommend it to anyone who eats food! SO GOOD! The burger gets five stars too!
Still working on the pictures! I'm gonna start takin' pics of the snow cones! Yay!

Some Unwanted Excitement...
So my life hasn't been all that exciting. Last night I went to bed, and read a book (a good one, btw!). Then I put the book down, and saw probably the most frightening sight I can possibly see...... a scorpion. My biggest fear, well, besides obvious stuff, such as dead dogs and broken elevators. Anyway, my mom has been having allergy attacks in her room, so they have been living in the guest room. Last night was the first night they went back to their bedroom. Ironically*, they had decided to shut their door that night. I can scream pretty loudly on roller coasters and such, but I was screaming my death scream, which is deafening. After what seemed like eternity (2 minutes), my dad came and killed the dying scorpion. Yay! I love happy endings! After that, I slept in my parents room, squished, and woke up this morning! (Sigh) I love a good happy ending!
*Ironic because they NEVER (I'm serious) close their door, and I never need them at night. But the first time I did, their door was shut!
p.s. No one was stung! But I was shaking the entire time, and the thought makes me shudder!
p.p.s. Still working one those photos! I know that photo-less blogs are not interesting blogs, but bear with me!

Snow Cones: Bahama Freeze!
First of all, I'm really sorry for the strange absence of posts, but i've been pretty busy! I had a ton of fun at Brooke's house! And just as much at Bubble's house!
OK, I don't really know how to review snow cones, but I'll try:
Selection: ***** Great! They had some crazy flavors (rock 'n roll, sunset) and some classics (cherry, lime, blue raspberry). I think they had more choices than snow beach (or is that just my sick fantasy?)!
Bees, Wasps, and Stinging Bugs: **** Pretty good! I only saw a few. I have been to both trailers, and they have barely any!
Lines: *** Not terrible, especially for a good snow cone. I only waited a few minutes!
Ice: **** Good. A few chunks here and there, but great other than that!
Toppings: **** Above average! Usually I see cream and caramel, but they had sour, cream, caramel, and something that I forgot! Also, they had chili powder, and I asked them about it. They said that some people love snow cones with it!
Snow cones: ***** tasted great! I would totally recommend the melonberry or cherry!
Have y'all ever been there? Any thoughts? Favorite flavors and/or combinations?

shop 'til you drop
today, Licorice, my mom, and I went shopping! we drove all the way to north Austin! First, we ate at Manny's. It's a delicious Jewish deli. I ate roasted brisket on Challah bread with mashed potatoes and gravy. so good!!! Then, we went to Crate and Barrel and bought a table and some other stuff. That store is amazing! It's full of colorful glasses and pillows and other odds and ends. Heaven on Earth! After that, we walked to Nordstrom Rack. I liked it, but I didn't find ANYTHING in my size that I like! I'm and XS in the juniors department, and an XL in kids sizes! 2 of the least common sizes! anyway, we walked out empty handed. Brussel Sprout is gluten-free, so we went to Whole Foods. we got groceries, and then I felt hungry again (it was hours after lunch). Coincidentally, we were in the dessert section, so yay! lucky me! I got tres leches cake! Then, Sour Patch came. We went in my room, so I could start typing this post, when Jolly Rancher came along. Of course Jolly Rancher and I played ping pong, while Sour Patch played Brussel Sprout's Xbox. oh lucky me, Brussel Sprout came home from Cabella's and saw Sour Patch playing Xbox. Brussel Sprout totally freaked out! It was hilarious. Then I played even more ping pong (trust me, i'm not addicted. During school, I ignore that addictive table!). Sour Patch left, and now i'm all alone. not really, my dad, Snickers, is downstairs with Brussel Sprout, my bro.
ok, I'm going to be crazy busy in the next few days, so bear with me! First, I'm going to my friend Brooke's house to spend the night! (Brooke has yet to be named). Then tomorrow, I'm spending the night at Caroline's house. (Caroline will probably want to be called Bubble!). I might not be able to do much posting, so be warned!!!!!! Oh yeah, one more thing: my friends don't like it when someone comes over at like 8 at night and leaves at like 9 in the morning; we spend a LOT of time at each other's houses. oh yeah, this really is the last thing: I'm not spending much time at Brooke's house, but we will use much more time next time!

Yay! an interview!
Ok, so first I was watching TV, and then Jolly Rancher and Sour Patch came over. They live a couple blocks away. Brussel Sprout decided to have a gaming tournament. They played ping pong, air hockey, and a basketball shooting game. i got bored (no surprise there!), and decided to go upstairs and play. Jolly Rancher and Brussel Sprout were playing a very intense game of air hockey, so i decided to play ping pong with Sour Patch. we played, and won even though he is like 4 years younger than me! We just play differently. so then Jolly Rancher and Brussel Sprout finished their air hockey game, and Sour Patch and i played air hockey. i let him win 2-3. I know this is getting boring, but bear with me; we'll get to the interesting(ish) part later. Anyway, we got bored (again!), and I decided to play ping pong with Jolly Rancher, who is only 3 years younger than me. He wanted to play to 11. We did, and I won 5 games in a row! Unfair, huh? We just laughed it off, and we started playing a game to 33! after about 5 minutes (the score was 16-6), they had to go home. cue the wop womp, anti-climatic sound effect. I convinced Jolly Rancher to stay for 1 quick interview because i thought it would make my boring day, not as boring! For my blog, that is.
Cupcake: how do you feel when you play ping pong?
Jolly Rancher: competitive.
Cupcake: How often do you play ping pong?
Jolly Rancher: Once every 2.5 months.
Cupcake: Do you think that you are good at ping pong?
Jolly Rancher: no. I'm just average.
Cupcake: What do you think of my ping pong playing?
Jolly Rancher: Slightly above average.
Ok, I am so mean: I made him play ping pong for almost 6 games! WOW. When I put it that way, I don't seem as cruel! Blog definition: a) boredom helper (meaning I'm not bored now) and b) encourager (meaning I don't feel so terrible about myself!)
**************HOORAY FOR BLOGS!**************
One last confession: I can't post pics and that video link from earlier today didn't work. As soon as I figure out how, I can start doing OOTD posts! won't that be exciting?!

It's Friday, Friday, Gotta Get Down on Friday!
Hello my little monsters (slight Lady Gaga influence)! It's Friday and I can't get that song out of my head! I think the part where the guy is like freakin out because he wants to switch lanes, but a bus is in the way is hilarious! Skip to 2:30 for the like rapper dude. Also, i hate the part when she says "Yesterday was Thursday......."! Skip to 2:03 for that!

ping pong and paper mache
Today i decided that it would be so awesome if i had colorful balls hanging from my ceiling. i'm not kidding. so i convinced my brother, Brussel Sprout, to let me use his neglected punch balloon. For a neglected balloon, he really cared about it, but we finally agreed that i would just buy him a new pack of punch balloons. THEN, i couldn't find the newspaper! i reluctantly decided to use some paper bags. the bags were terrible! They didn't rip the way newspapers do, and they were extremely heavy for paper. on top of that, they weren't exactly very bendy so i had to use short strips. But, it worked, and i'm kind of happy with the way it's turning out! One more thing: i didn't have enough glue, so i had to use cornstarch! not the best for paper mache! oh well! the theme of that story: improvise!
Brussel Sprout loves ping pong, but unfortunately, he needed 2 people. i'm his only sibling. UGH! i had to play ping pong while listening to him tell me ALL (there were a lot!) of my mistakes! but once i kind of (emphasis on kind of) got the hang of it, i loved it! our small family of 4 is going to have a ping pong tournament this summer!
Today's verdict: fun first day of summer! going swimming tonight!
